Equipping Parents for Faith Formation at Home
With over
stimulated, over scheduled families, Sunday mornings are often the only time a family gets to sleep in and relax…and
they often do. While we may disagree with this choice, we are called, as
leaders in Christian Formation, to “do all in our power to support these persons in their life in Christ.” (BCP
pg. 303). So if they don’t come to church, church must go to them. In this workshop, we will discuss easy, fun and practical ways families can
worship, talk, pray and play together.
How to Welcome our Youngest Members
Would
a new mother leave her infant in your nursery? Does your church welcome children? If so, does your nursery express that? Whether
you are from a small church or a large cathedral, the nursery is often the first impression for many families…and the
deciding factor of whether they will return. In this workshop, we will
explore inviting, safe and loving nurseries that don’t cost a lot of money to provide.
