The Rev. Ruth Jaynes is the Consultant for Faith
Formation in the Diocese of Nebraska and Interim Rector at Church of the Holy Spirit in Bellevue, Nebraska. She is a
1997 graduate of the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. She was Missioner in the On Track
Ministry Cluster which consisted of five small rural churches in Central Nebraska from 1997-2004. Ruth has been working
in Children’s Ministry for 22 years after working as an Early Childhood educator in a parochial school. She is
a certified Godly Play teacher and guides churches in setting up their Godly Play classrooms. As the Resource Center
director at the Diocese of Nebraska, she helps parishes choose curriculum for the children, youth and adult formation.
Ruth is a member of the National Organization of Episcopal Resource Center Directors (NOERC) and the National Association
for Episcopal Christian Education Directors (NAECED). Married to the Rev. Larry Jaynes, they have two grown daughters
living in Denver and Portland, Oregon.
